2010 Property Tax Exemption for Seniors Assistance
Representatives from the Pinellas County Property Appraiser’s Office will be at the Library on Thursday, February 18 from 9:30 to noon to help determine if you qualify for the additional property tax exemption available to qualified residents of Safety Harbor and Unincorporated Pinellas County. Application deadline is March 1.
QUALIFICATIONS
• At least one homesteaded property owner is 65 years old or older on January 1, 2010
• The applicant qualifies or already receives a Homestead Exemption
• Total household income is $25,780 or less plus the cost of living increase to be determined in mid-January. (Note. SSI is not included in that amount if a resident is NOT REQUIRED to file an income tax return.)
